Vocal FX is a young person's barbershop a capella group, based in Wellington, New Zealand. Vocal FX's style includes barbershop, waiata, upbeat early pop, funk, and choral pieces.
In 2018, Vocal FX placed 9th in the world at the Barbershop Harmony Society's international competition in Orlando, Florida.
Our recent awards and accolades include:
- 2023 Barbershop Harmony New Zealand national champions
- Reigning Pan-Pacific champions
- Champion of the Pop Choirs Category at the 2024 World Choir Games
- Gold medalist of the Folklore and Indigenous Music with Accompaniment Category at the 2024 World Choir Games
